Government of Balochistan Launches Inquiry into Alleged Recruitment Irregularities

Probe Targets Political Influence Over Merit in Recent

In a decisive move towards ensuring transparency and meritocracy in recruitment processes, the Caretaker Government of Balochistan, through the Services & General Administration Department, has established an Inquiry Committee. This committee is tasked with investigating allegations of irregularities and corruption in various departmental hirings over the past three months.


The Committee Composition:


1. Chairman CMIT

2. Secretary Finance (Member)

3. Secretary S&GAD (Member)

4. DG Treasuries (Member)

5. DG Anti-Corruption (Member/Secretary)

6. Representative of ISI (Member)

7. Representative of IB (Member)

8. Representative of MI (Member)

Mandate of the Committee:


The Committee, chaired by CMIT Chairman, is empowered to:


1. Scrutinize the records of recruitments conducted across all departments within the last three months.

2. Address complaints received from various sources regarding the recruitment process.

3. Identify systemic loopholes, irregularities, deviations from approved policies, and instances of corruption in the recruitment procedures.

4. Determine accountability in cases where evidence of wrongdoing is substantiated.

5. Co-opt additional members if deemed necessary.


This proactive step by the Balochistan Government reflects its dedication to upholding the principles of fairness, equity, and meritocracy in the recruitment of deserving candidates.


This inquiry is in response to concerns raised by stakeholders and citizens alike, who have called for a thorough examination of the recruitment processes amid allegations of political interference leading to appointments that may not be based on merit.
